An apartment with a curved, fully glazed front looking out to the Mediterranean at Ashdod. A relatively young couple at the start of family life, with two small children, who wanted a home with a clean, tailored look.

The concealed kitchen hides the sink and the ovens, and the island answers it with a stoic quiet. A series of lighting lines crosses the ceiling and gives the space a dynamic reading.

A storage cupboard at the entrance, which carries on to become the kitchen cupboard, hides the mess of daily life and makes room for open shelves holding pieces that reflect the language of the house.

The blue chaise longue sets out to be independent and a little defiant, and succeeds. The living room table is real timber, textural and elegantly blackened.
